The first domed stadium in Japan, opened in 1988, this venue features sporting events including baseball, football and boxing as well as concerts by popular artists such as Avril Lavigne and the Rolling Stones. Large exhibitions and festivals are held here, and the surrounding area is an entertainment complex featuring amusement park with thrill rides, 43-story hotel, more than 20 restaurants and shops as well as other attractions. Parking is available for an extra fee, but you are encouraged to take the nearby rail lines on busy weekends and holidays. There is plenty to keep you busy for a full day or more here at Tokyo Dome City
